By Natalie Aranda A caricature is a portrait of a person that exaggerates certain features in order to express the essence of the person and still make the subject easily identifiable. Although it is often viewed as a comic type of art today, it has a rather long history. The earliest forms date back to ancient days. Where to Commission a Portrait

When you need a photograph changed to art form, you can commission a portrait. Now what do we need for commissioning a portrait? All you need is a photograph even a fuzzy old photograph will do. The artist tries to make an exact replica of the photograph given. When there are missing elements in the photograph the artist adds those details through active imagination, bringing the image to life. Learn how to Draw 101

I have a friend, who has a strong sense of design and home decoration. However, when you talk to her, she would be most adamant about NOT being creative. So, one day, I’ve given her an art class, i.e. for 1/2 an hour I made her to sit still and draw from memory the million little lines of a crumbled ball of waste paper. A turning point, as it taught her how to look. It taught her how to relax and ‘just do it’. It was the start of her art development. She has thanked me since many times over.
